As part of its services, the Beverly Hills Bar Association offers a Mandatory Fee Arbitration (MFA) program to settle conflicts regarding fee payments to attorneys. The association's MFA program serves as a confidential and informal forum for non-binding arbitration. This MFA program is authorized by the State Bar of California.
A more efficient and lower-cost alternative to standard fee dispute resolution at the court level, the Beverly Hills Bar Association's fee arbitration services draw from the association's attorney membership. Either a single attorney or a panel of three attorneys will provide arbitration for each case, dependent upon the amount of the fee disputed.
The MFA program, administered under B&P Code Sections 6200-6206, will accept any Los Angeles County attorney or client with a no-limit threshold. For additional information about the process or to begin the process of fee arbitration, visit www.bhba.org.
